Sericho Meteorite in a case

Sericho Meteorite in a case

Multiple items are currently in stock, each with unique variations from the one shown here.

Meteorite is showcased in a display case 4.5"x 5.5"

Sericho is one of those meteorites that looks like it was designed to be displayed. It’s a pallasite (a rare stony-iron type) found in eastern Kenya, officially recorded from a 2016 find near the Sericho/Habaswein area.

What it’s made of: Sericho is a natural mix of iron-nickel metal and gemmy olivine crystals—basically a snapshot of an asteroid’s deep interior where metal and silicates meet.

The “pattern” / look: Instead of the classic all-metal Widmanstätten look, Sericho’s showstopper is its mosaic of olivine crystals suspended in bright metal. When it’s cut, polished, and etched, the metal can still reveal structure, but the real wow is the crystal window effect.

What it’s used for: Because it’s both tough and beautiful, Sericho is popular for collector slices, display pieces, and jewelry/inlays where those olivine crystals become the centerpiece.
